My name is Sylvia Glass. I have been a student and a teacher of dance for more than 10 years. My dance experience ranges from ballet, modern, jazz, various styles of Latin , hip-hop and belly dancing. I have taught dance at several schools, performing art and recreation centers along with one on one teaching for adult choreography and fitness. I believe in the therapeutic qualities and creative outlet that dance provides, for children and adults alike.

The birth of my two children and the untiring support of my husband sparked my interest to start teaching a "mommy and me" style class for infants and new mothers, a class designed to allow mothers to recondition their bodies after child birth, while staying bonded with their infants. Then a creative movement class for infants and toddlers.

In addition, I am currently teaching a creative movement class, for infants and toddlers along with their parents and caregivers. This class is a low-structured class that encourages movement to music. I provide hula hoops, musical instuments and several tactile toys for the children to enjoy and be expressive. (This is a donation class.)

I also teach an adult dance class called Sultry Stretch. This class is designed to stretch muscles, increase flexibility, strengthen your core and tone your whole body. It's a fun and high energy class with blended choreographed dance techniques such as bellydancing, African, Latin and many other eclectic dance styles. Private dance training for adults and juniors classes are available and scheduled by appointment.

Ultimately, my aim is to encourage everyone to express themselves by moving their bodies to the music!
